Reverend Jason Hovde pastored for over seven years on the Yankton Sioux reservation in South Dakota before coming to Oasis Church during the summer of 2021. Jason is excited to serve in sunny Florida where the people are diverse and welcoming. His passion is for teaching God’s word through expository preaching and discipleship. He is married to Jenelle and they have three children in elementary and middle school. He enjoys golfing, reading, and exploring nature, particularly cultivating flowers and tropical plants in the yard. Jenelle enjoys writing fiction and homeschooling.
Jason loves to think about and interact with God's Word. Among his favorite preachers are John MacArthur, C. H. Spurgeon, Voddie Baucham, and Steve Lawson. It helps him to connect the ideas of scripture and doctrine to human nature and the relationships between fallen people. Among his favorite novels are everything Charles Dickens, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, and Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. Among his favorite bible study books are J. I. Packer's Knowing God, D. A. Carson's Praying With Paul, and R. C. Sproul's The Holiness of God. He also enjoys anything by A. W. Tozer and C. S. Lewis. His preferred Bible translation is the ESV.

Leland’s upbringing in Haiti and Miami instilled in him a love for diversity. Leland speaks English, Creole and Spanish and has lived in Royal Palm Beach with his wife, Melissa for over 25 years. They are enjoying this season of trusting the Lord with their two adult children. William, 22, is pursuing mechanics at Palm Beach State College. Tyneisha, 19, is a soccer-playing bio-chemistry major at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA.
Leland has been on staff with the Palm Beach County Youth for Christ for 21 years. He directs various programs with the intent of sharing Jesus and raising Godly students. Although it may sound simple, Leland’s position for modeling the Good News to students is, “This life is temporary… the next one is forever.” A personal relationship with Christ is everything. Romans 5:8 is one of his favorite verses, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.”

Michelle has lived in Palm Beach County since 1980, attending local schools, married her husband John in November 1995, and they were blessed with one son in 1998.
Michelle has worked in Christian Ministry since 2003, as Finance Director at Wellington Christian School from 2003-2015, and Office Administrator for Christ Community Church from 2015 to date. Michelle shares her time between Oasis Church and Christ Community Church during the week.
Michelle has been blessed to remain in Christian Ministry using her administrative skills to help support the Pastoral and teaching staff at Oasis Church.
