Leland’s upbringing in Haiti and Miami instilled in him a love for diversity. Leland speaks English, Creole and Spanish and has lived in Royal Palm Beach with his wife, Melissa for over 25 years. They are enjoying this season of trusting the Lord with their two adult children. William, 21, is pursuing mechanics at Palm Beach State College. Tyneisha, 18, is a soccer-playing bio-chemistry major at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA.
Leland has been on staff with the Palm Beach County Youth for Christ for 19 years. He directs various programs with the intent of sharing Jesus and raising Godly students. Although it may sound simple, Leland’s position for modeling the Good News to students is, “This life is temporary… the next one is forever.” A personal relationship with Christ is everything. Romans 5:8 is one of his favorite verses, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.”
